Art School drop-out Adam Ant rounded off the Art Bin installation at the South London Gallery, Peckham on Sunday night - by chucking in a collage he created on the spot.

The former Hornsey Art School undergraduate completed the six week installation, which was launched by controversial artist Damian Hirst and included an estimated £1million worth of paintings from the likes of Tracey Emin and pop art icon Peter Blake - all thrown into a clear perspex skip.

The Art Bin's curator Michael Landy envisaged the work as a "monument to failure", celebrating failed art with a "sacrificial pit".

A parody of Adam Ant has been used by UK Internet Service Provider TalkTalk for their new viral video supporting the Don't Disconnect Us campaign. Featured on BBC1's long-running current affairs programme Panarama this evening, the video lampoons the Home Taping is Killing Music campaign of the early 1980s with renditions of George Michael, Madonna and - somewhat surprisingly - Adam Ant.

Adam has always historically stood against illiegal bootlegging and has passionately protected his copyright throughout his career. The celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the release of the Kings of the Wild Frontier LP have got underway with the Rogue Traders releasing a nod to Antmusic with their new single.

Released on Friday 9 April, Would You Raise Your Hands? features the lyrics made famous by Adam & the Ants in 1980: "Unplug the jukebox and do us all a favour" for an upbeat dancefloor stomper. Although huge in Australia, Rogue Traders are probably best known in the UK for Voodoo Child, which featured Neighbours actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte on vocals and was played on season three of the new Doctor Who series.

Adam Ant made a surprise appearance as part of the Passion hairdressers charity day for St John's Hospice in St John's Wood, north west London yesterday.

Donating some fabulous items including jewellery, signed records and books plus the tape recorder Adam used to record demos for Dirk Wears White Sox and Kings of the Wild Frontier albums, he chatted with locals and regulars of the salon and revealed that he is working with long-term cohort Marco Pirroni again after the pair drifted apart following Adam's well publicised psychiatric issues back in 2002.

Teenage bassist Kevin Mooney has earned himself cult hero status amongst every rebellious young Ants fan over the years. In 2001, after twenty years of virtual silence regarding his time during the exciting and controversial Kings of the Wild Frontier period, Antpeople everywhere were invited to grill the so-called "bad boy" of Antmusic about his life, loves, "highs" and lows of being with the biggest band on the planet!

I was brought up in southeast London, Greenwich, with half-English half-Irish parents, and got into punk rock when I was 13 or 14, I was running around and knew all about Adam and Marco and stuff before I'd ever been in a band. Then when Malcolm stole the band, that's when I joined. I was in a couple of little bands, one was called European Cowboys and we rehearsed in a place called Mayhem in Battersea, where the Ants used to rehearse from time to time. There was this girl named Toyah, she used to run it.
