How to get to the Ant Lib All-Dayer 2007

The Eve Club includes a stunning interior featuring a magnificent ice sculptured bar, brilliantly lit with illuminated fibre optics. The club is scattered with low tables, soft cushions surrounding the most stunning and famous luminous glass dance floor in london. The Garden of Eden area is shaded by the infamous forbidden apple tree (which, by the way, is real!). The full address for the Eve Club is:

THE EVE CLUB
3 NEW BURLINGTON STREET
(off Regent Street)
LONDON W1S 2JF

[ CLICK HERE for location & surrounding area ]

The nearest London landmark is Hamley’s toystore – across Regent Street opposite New Burlington Street. Regent Street is in the heart of London’s shopping mecca so is extremely well served by public transport.

Travelling by Tube:
Nearest underground stations are Oxford Circus (served by Central, Bakerloo and Jubilee lines) and Piccadilly Circus (served by Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines) – both approximately 5 minutes walk from the Eve Club.

Moving on to Ant Lib Disco
The MV London Belle will be launching at 9pm prompt from Embankment Pier which is served by the Bakerloo line from Piccadilly Circus and bus routes 6, 13, 15, 23, 139 from Regent Street and alighting on the Strand at Charing Cross station.

Please note, you must buy a ticket in advance of boarding any bus in central London – tickets are available from tube stations and machines provided at bus stops.

Getting Home
London Underground closes down just after Midnight. Alternative transport are Night Buses which can be caught at nearby Trafalgar Square or Taxis which can be easily hailed at Charing Cross station.

For up-to-the-minute London travel information, visit www.tfl.gov.uk or phone 020 7222 1234 (lines open 24hrs).

Be safe – Plan your journey to and from the venue in advance – print out the map linked above for reference.

If taking a Night Bus, do try to find a friend to escort you to your stop. Please do not accept a lift home by a mini cab tout. In most cases these are unlicensed, uninsured, illegal and dangerous.

Local Accommodation
Of course the safest way to travel is to book a room for the night!
Check out Hostel World for a mighty fine selection of budget accommodation in the central London area!

The Bands
Each band playing at Ant Lib Live! has been specially hand-picked from a selection that have offered to play since our last Live! event in 2004.

In 2000, Harlow-based Dead Heaven exploded onto the scene with a “new band for the millenium” and seven years later they have carved a cult status amongst David Bowie and Gary Numan fans with their unique take on the melodic New Wave style, until recently figuring as Martin Degville’s Sigue Sigue Sputnik spin-off band Sputnik 2.

Johnny Normal’s New Wave parodies stray far from the norm, with tracks like Mni Metro causing a storm down down in a pub carpark in Bewdley. We’re looking forward to what the bastard child of JohnShuttleworth and Gary Le Strange has up his kimono sleeves...

Portsmouth trio The Autons met while auditioning to be extras for Madam Stan’s favourite telly show Doctor Who. Failing in their attempts to appear as Autons, in 2005 they decided to form a band named after their beloved adversaries instead. Since then they have picked up numerous accolades for their recently released debut LP Short Term Manifesto and are hovering on the cusp of fame and fortune...

Simon Clarke formed Ant Flavour in 2004 after winning a Doncaster talent show dressed as Adam Ant and performing Antmusic. After signing to an agency, Ant Flavour have become the most sought-after Ant tribute act on the live circuit, offering a unique perspective on the Antmusic experience.
